Turn off Confirm on delete?

So I'm struggling a bit with my changeover from iPhoto...

Is there a way to turn off the confirmation dialog when you delete a photo? We take literally hundreds of photos at each of my son's games, and I'm used to quickly paging through them individually using left and right arrow, and then deleting the not-so-great ones before we upload them for the team on flickr. It used to take minutes. Now, every time, it asks me do I really want to delete the photo from my photo stream. I know I could select multiple photos in the thumbnail view, and delete all at once, but they are too small for me to look at properly.

I also know that you can create an event and delete from there to make the event have less photos, but it's not actually deleting the photo itself. It's just deleting them from the event.

Thanks!

Jim

If you are struggling only "a bit," consider yourself among the lucky few! 😁

Anyway, there is no way to turn off the confirmation dialog. One workaround for that I find useful is to create a keyword like "to_delete" & as I review my photos, add it as appropriate -- using the Keyword manager (command+K) > Edit keywords to give it a keyboard shortcut makes it less tedious to do this.

Then, use the search box to display all the items with that keyword, select them all with command+A, & delete them. You still have to confirm, but only once for the entire group.

Also, if storage space is critical, don't forget to use "Show Recently Deleted" on the File menu to select them all & delete them to override the 30 day 'just in case' waiting period feature Photos "helpfully" includes.
