Problems after hard drive swap

Hello all

I've got a 2007 aluminum finish iMac that I just put a new hard drive in and am now having issues getting the machine to tun on when the power button is pressed. Diag LED #1 is on but Diag LED #2 will not come on when the power button is pressed. Right after I put the display back into the case I tested it and everything was fine. The problem started after the bezel was installed. I reset the SMC and powered it up and everything seemed fine. I started my drive clone and the iMac snapped off in the middle of the clone and now will not turn on again. I tried it just before I got into bed and when I hit the power button I'm pretty sure I can hear the internal hard drive spin up but no fans or other sounds or video. What next?
