Google safe browsing and javascript

Do I want javascript enabled on my macbook pro? I keep getting a yellow sign in Safari that says "Google safe growing service in unavailable. No updates in 1 day". I have restarted my computer in safe mode but I got the message again.

You shouldn't have any problems with JavaScript besides the Browser lockout scams which use a Javascript loop to lock the browser, often asking for a ransom of some sort. Those are easily defeated by force quitting Safari and restarting by holding down the shift key.

I don't know what JavaScipt has to do with the Google Safe Browsing service.
