Not booting up vertical lines only

AS of last night my power Mac 2011 ran just fine. My OS is up to date with the newest releases, but this morning it wouldn't start. When I turned it on only red and blue vertical line showed on the screen. The gray loading screen and apple logo didn't come up at all. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I did some searching and the MBP 2011 models had a similar problem that boiled down to a GPU or logic board problem. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem?
