Too much synched info on phone

I hooked my iPhone to my iMac to synch iTunes one time and it caused all kinds of crap to show up on my phone to include safari bookmarks.

My contacts are now full of email addresses that I never use on my phone and birthdays that could have only come from Facebook. Does the FB app load all that crap, too?

I only wanted the music synched and NOTHING ELSE! 😁

Now I find that when I delete them off of my phone, it deletes it from my home computer and I don't want that!!!!!!!

Is there a way to control this or select what is synched?
