Having problems restoring microsoft office

I took my macbook air into the apple store today to try and install some drivers properly, and while I was there they said they would help me clear up some space on my laptop so they would clear it to factory settings and I could just pick and choose things from my backup drive to put back on there so I wouldn't have to just restore it all and have it all back the way it was before I reset it. So I get home to set it all back up and when I realized that microsoft office (specifically microsoft word) is not on there anymore, I found it in the back up on my external hard drive but when I dragged it into my applications folder, I get an error code that says:

Microsoft word can not be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure microsoft word works with this version of OS X (It worked on here just this morning so that can't be the problem) You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.

Then under that it has this error code:

The biggest problem is that I can't find a place to simply reinstall it from, and it's been years since I bought this version of office, and I have no clue where the disk or the key might be, and this is frustrating because I had it saved as a back up and the rep at the apple store never said that I would need my product key so that's why I let him wipe the computer. Help please!
