I have an older Macbook Pro and I'm running out of hard drive space. My Itunes library is around 75GB. With Apple Match can I put my Itunes Library on an external hard drive, eliminate the library on my Macbook's hard drive and just run my music from Itunes Match?

Doing that doesn’t require iTunes Match. Drag the library there in the Finder, launch iTunes with the Option key held down, and choose that library.
