iOS 8.3 battery drain flight mode

Hi,

my battery (iPhone 6) is discharging over night 50% and even in flight mode still 20-25%.

I installed the system utility app to monitor system behavior and it shows a CPU load of up to 16% in flight mode and up to 30% when Wi-Fi and 4G is active but all apps (except the monitoring) are closed. In comparison my colleagues iPhone 5 shows ~1% CPU load in flight mode and up to 5% when Wi-Fi and 3G is active.

This behavior occurs since 2 or 3 days and I have not installed any new app.

Thanks

Here you can find some useful tips on how to make the battery life of your device longer. They work for both iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3.

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, try these steps. Note that this may erase the data from your computer.

You need to restore your device to factory settings.

Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
