Hello,
Recently my MacBook Air 13 inch has been saying that I have about 470GB available but the bar underneath it says i have almost used up everything up. Does that mean that i'm out of space?

Re-index Macintosh HD.
Spotlight reindexing will take a while to finish.
System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy

You will see a new category “Other” in the Storage Display.

Note:
If you don’t have Macintosh HD icon on the desktop,
Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the desktop:
Enable “Hard disks”.
