Magnetic Buzzing Feel While Charging

I've suggested to people that they get their outlets checked but then I was told it's an issue with the way the charger is configured. (Ok, despite being the daughter of an electrician, I don't really understand it). So, it's probably not worth the money. Take it to Apple if you're going to be in the area.

i am an electrician and an electrical engineer. I've see teardowns of the Apple mains adapters. The side that connects to the phone is completely isolated from the mains; there is no ground connection between the phone and the mains, which is why the adapter does not have a polarized plug, except in countries where it is required. And even then the ground pin in the plug does not connect to anything in the adapter.

If you feel something on the phone it is probably the cable shield is picking up induced currents from the surrounding environment. The current in such situations is too low to be dangerous.

It's a grounding issue. It's fairly common with iPhones and iPads. It's not generally anything to worry about. However, you can try using a power strip.
