Podcasts play in reverse

I have my Podcasts listed in my iTunes OLDEST to NEWEST. When I go to sync them, they are listed NEWEST to OLDEST!!!!! This is insane!!!

Also>>> there was an update that messed up my ability to individually select podcast episodes from the sync page -- has that been corrected? As it stands, I have to go back & manually 'mark as played' so I can use the 'sync all unplayed', then go back & download eps again because I'm trying to catch up but it wants to put all or none on the ipod & exceeds capacity.
