iTunes has stopped working in Windows Vista 64-Bit
Hello all.
Well, I installed the latest version of iTunes (12.1.2) on my Vista 64-bit PC. It installed successfully and everything, however refuses to launch with an error; "iTunes has stopped working".
Out of curiosity, I tested the same version of iTunes on a virtual machine of Windows Vista 64 bit, and the same error occurs. I also tested it on another Vista 64 bit machine, and the error still persists. Judging by the error information, it seems like this problem is caused by CoreAudioToolbox.dll. I'm guessing the DLL is incompatible with Vista 64 bit, as the problem doesn't occur in 7/8 64 bit from my testing. iTunes also works just fine on 32 bit Vista. Does anyone else have any ideas? I've done the usual reinstall it, delete libraries and try again, etc. And since this is happening on all my Vista 64 bit machines, I believe the problem isn't on my end.
