Q: Apple Watch Sport transparency/blur?

I received both my Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch today and noticed that the Apple Watch Sport's blur/transparency on the user interface was not as nice as the one on the regular Apple Watch. It is not as smooth and it looks blocky/chunky. From what I've heard, all Apple watch models have the same internal hardware so this shouldn't mean that its a hardware limitation. Whats interesting also is that Apple's own renderings of the Apple watch Sport show nice blurring on the screens.

Has anyone else had this issue? I know its very minor but Its really bothering me (I'm a Design Computing student).

Can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean.

You're correct that the innards are the same

So, the display is the same, and the internal hardware is the same, but the glass vs. sapphire covering makes a difference on the clarity of what you can see of the screen.  The sport model glass is significantly clearer than the sapphire "glass" so the image you see is sharper on the sport model versus the stainless steel or edition models.
