If your hearing the disk restart when you turn it on then that means that it is your LCD that is damaged and your screen is no longer working. You can repair this but for a very high price. If your not hearing anything when you turn it on it could be the battery that is damaged.
1 more thing. Make sure you try putting the brightness up. it could be something as silly as that
