iPhone 6 Plus Slow Motion Flicker Problem

Good day.

Anyone can help me understand if its normal when I capture a video in Slow Motion (240/120 fps) the video sorts of flickering when playing. When capturing and playing the video its like the lights keeps on going on and off in my screen. Is this normal when capturing the slow motion video? The normal video capture is just working fine only when in slow motion.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, this is common with shooting high speed video. Lights frequently flicker, for a variety of reasons, but you don't notice it because it's happening so fast. When shooting at high speeds, especially 240fps, you will often see this flickering because everything is slowed down. Cheap fluorescent or LED lights will often have this problem. So pay attention to the lights in your scene and do a test shot if you're concerned about it.

If you're trying to use the footage in a professional project, there are paid solutions like Flicker Free (plugin for Adobe Premiere or Apple's Final Cut Pro) which are very effective at fixing the problem. There are some iPhone apps that do an ok job of de-flickering the video as well, just do a search in the App store for iphone flicker.
