Two disks with different OS X version completely isolated one of other

I have a Mac Pro with two hard disks hosting different versions of OS X (Leopard / Snow Leopard) and i'm looking a way to completely isolate the "secondary" hard disks on each case for the active OS X (zero acces... No read, no write... Nothing)

Any suggestions?

Completely? Disconnect the SATA cable from the secondary.

Alternatively, explore UNIX's umount command--though anything that can be switched off by software can also be switched back on again.

If you're not seeing the drive icons on your desktop, with the Finder in the foreground, choose Finder > Preferences. Under the General tab, turn the check box on for Hard disks. Then close the box.

Highlight any drive or partition you want dismounted and press Command+E. The only one you can't dismount is the one you're booted to. In order to remount an internal drive, you either need to restart and all drives will once again be mounted. Or launch Disk Utility, highlight the dismounted drive and click the Mount button.
