Q: where do i find photos.app

not listed in finder, not listed under applications, do not seem to be able to find the program or be able to open it

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8), mac mini server

Photos.app is included as part of OS X 10.10.3. You'll need to upgrade your OS in order to get it.
