Q: Having trouble with Wi-Fi but it's only affecting Macs.
I've been having trouble with Wi-Fi for the past few weeks and no amount of troubleshooting seems to be helping. It only happens with the two MacBook Airs in the house, never the cell phones (running on Android), iPad, Windows desktop or gaming systems.
The router is a TP-Link WR841N. It works if I turn wi-fi off and then turn it back on, but then it disconnects and tries to reconnect again and again. It's very frustrating but only seems to happen with that network (it doesn't do it if I use my cell phone's hot spot, for instance). I've used inSSIDer, enabled WiFi logging and changed the channel on the router, but none of it seems to be working.
The MacBook Air is a Mid-2012 running Yosemite 10.10.3.
Any suggestions? Should I just try another router?
Thanks.
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
