Q: I wish to delete some photos from my iPad mini and the U2 recording that Apple placed there. How do I do it?

How can I easily delete photos and the U2 recording from iPad mini  - without adding anything else to it?

This will cover removing the U2 album. Remove iTunes gift album "Songs of Innocence" from your iTunes music library and purchases - Apple Support

What kind of photos are you trying to delete, ones that you took with the iPad, or ones that you synced from the computer? Ones that have been synced have to be removed the same way, with a sync in iTunes. Camera roll photos can be deleted individually from the Camera Roll.

concerning the U2 album, I have tried this removal tool repeatedly with no success. The music remains on my iPad and continues to ANNOY me.

somehow the album was automatically added to my iPad, without my loading anything, by Apple in their misguided attempt to endear me to their nonsense.

****, how can I get RID of this?

I'm sorry, but that is the only removal tool I'm aware of, and it has worked for everyone that I am aware of. Not sure why it is not working for you. Is the iPad the only iDevice you have, or is it possible you have it on other devices and it is syncing over that way.

Yes, I do have an iPhone but it is not synced with my iTunes acct. I hand picked each song and downloaded them manually. Also, some of my music is spontaneously reverting to the cloud from my iPad as well as my phone. What would cause that? This all happened during the last update of iTunes, which I might add happened automatically even though that was not my choice in mode of download. So after that I lost my library and the ability to access iTunes.

i was finally able to download iTunes again to my computer but half my library is missing.

    Apple *****.
