I uploaded new photos from the phone to my mac. they imported without a date, instead the word osh.and instead of the location where it was taken , the country of Kazygstan appeared.
I deleted them; they were taken in my town.
how did this happen??

Apparently the negative sign is n=missed for some reason on the location moving it around the world

thank you. I just found it very creepy. no date, strange word osh and the location was very scary.
I noticed this as well, same location that you had.
I reported it to Apple. I hope once fixing this bug the original photo location is updated on the picture without having to re-import
Last tie this occured with an iphoto release the fix to iPhotos resolved the problem - this is a display issue not a data issue - the data is good

No reason to delete the photos. There's nothing "dangerous" here. Just a Photos bug.
thank you; I reported to Apple twice.
I deleted the photos and then added back. One day, correct data. Next day, back to Osh.
I contacted Apple twice; never a response, problem continues.
