Q: Is there an App that can alert me when my MacBook battery is at 100%?

Is there an App or tool that can play a loud sound or alert me when my MacBook battery is at 100%? I often find myself waiting around for my MacBook to reach 100% as I don't like leaving it on the power supply too long after. It would be great to fall asleep or keep busy around the house knowing my Mac will alert me when it's full.

 

Any ideas? Thanks

It is quite alright to leave your power supply connected when the battery is at 100%.  The computer knows when to stop charging and will not overcharge.  I suspect the majority of users leave their notebooks plugged in most of the time.

    Why don't you want to leave it on power after it reaches 100%? There is no danger or issue with doing that. My Mac is plugged in all night every night.....

    When the battery reaches 100% charge and the charger is still connected to the MBP, the OSX will allow power to the MBP but will not continue to charge the battery while the charger is connected.  The battery then will slowly discharge (as if it were stored on a shelf) but when it reaches the 95%± level, the OSX then will allow the charger to provide power to the MBP AND charge the battery, to the 100% level.  This cycle will continue as long as the charger is connected to the MBP.
