Select the photos, select the share icon (square with arrow pointing up) and choose iCloud photo sharing, you can add them to an existing shared album, create a new album and choose who you share them with there.

Select the album or selected photos and:

You left off step 4: figure out that while you get the expected text cursor when you click in the "To:" text entry field, the same is not true for the other two fields ... or at least that is what is happening on my system. For those two, I have to click & start typing to dismiss the grey text, & I never get a text cursor.

    Anybody else seeing this?

It takes some time for pictures to show up in the cloud and sometimes you get an error.

After you share to the cloud wait some time before checking.

I'm getting a flashing cursor in those other two fields:

I just checked again & I'm still not getting a cursor in the first & third fields, just in the second one. I would love to keep up but I don't know the magic formula to get my copy to work like yours does now.

It would b be nice to have some indicator in PHOTO to tell you that an album/photo has been shared and also when you share an Album it automatically defaults to the same name.  Currently one has to enter the Album name in the iCloud Sharing Popup.

Yes, I was wondering if you didn't have that formula.

Apparently, I do now. I checked again a few minutes ago & now all three fields show the cursor. As best as I can tell, the only thing I did that might have had an effect since the last test was to log out & back into my user account. That suggests there may have been a problem with some user cache or temp file, but I have no idea whether that was the result of some bug in the app or something else.

Regardless, if anyone else sees this misbehavior it would be interesting to know if logging out & back into the current user account is all it takes to correct it.

Ahh that isn't what I was thinking the difference may be, I do recall seeing the behaviour you describe but it was in an earlier version of the system software, I thought you might have been running a different version to me.

I have run no version of the system software other than what is offered through the regular App Store upgrade/update process for many years now.

I know I may be preaching to the choir here but since you've upgraded the system to 10.10.3 have you booted into the Recovery volume and repair the disk permissions (and the disk)?
