Insufficient Memory on Ipad

I have an Apple 2 Ipad....32G capacity with 24.1GB available. Version is 8.3....

My problem is that I just installed security cameras at my home and when I am watching them the Ipad sometimes will come up with an "Insufficient Memory" alert. When this alert comes up you have to confirm it and when you do that it closes out the application so you have to start all over again...sometimes I have to do this 3 or 4 times before I can get it to continue viewing.

Is there a fix for this and has anyone else experienced this problem...

Thanks in advance,

iPad 2, iOS 8.3

Quit all apps besides your video monitoring app. Double click your home button to see the list. push up to get rid of.

There are two types of memory on the ipad.

-- permanent memory. Apple calls this Storage. This used to be call the harddrive.

-- system and application memory. Apple calls this memory. Shortened to memory in the past.

Since you have enough permanent memory, one can assume the message was referring to system and application memory. I do not know if Apple has documented how they use the memory. I do not know if the ios will page memory to storage.

512meg isn't much in today's world. You are likely to get the most memory by rebooting & running only you video viewing app.

Re-boot ipad.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.
