my macbook wont boot past loading drivers
i have a macbook core 2 duo running snow leopard and ive been having issues with it lately, i just installed a program called "applejack" and was running it in single user mode to repair permissions, i let that run for over two hours and it never finished so i decided to cut off my mac and try again but now it wont boot up what so ever. it turns on, i hear the chime, the apple logo pops up but no pin wheel. after a couple minutes it cuts off on its own and cycles the same thing. it wont boot in safe mode and when i boot in verbose it says "loading drivers" then the little dots runn across the screen signifying that its loading, it faulters once, continues then gets stuck after the 4th line of "loading dots" as i will call them.
please help, im at a loss on what to do about this
