    That's also how I got mine to work with the MBP (using a miniDP to DP cable). They problem however is that when the laptop sleeps and hence the monitor sleeps there are almost always issues on waking the the MBP. It freezes and you get incredible slow downs," spinning wheel of death" and strange colours on the screen. I have to end up hard reseting the MBP (incredible - I know!). My work around is that I never let the MBP sleep now when it is connected to power (you can of course still run screensaver to avoid screen burn) and using the external display. Basically it comes down to a sleep protocol issue - others have had similar issues with Dell monitors and this particular monitor (i have firmware revision 3). I love the monitor except this annoying problem with sleep wake. Anyone else here experience this problem? As far as I know most non-Dell 4K monitors do not have this sleep-wake issue
