Magic Trackpad Lag

Recently, I'm having a problem when I am using my Magic Trackpad that whole OS becomes laggy. My Magic Mouse does function very well. However, when I just move the cursor with the trackpad, everything becomes slower. For instance, when I point finder icon with my trackpad, the text "Finder" appears after a second or two.

This is very uncomfortable for me to use the trackpad. Is there any way to fix this? Or anyone having same problem with me?

I'm having this, too. Did you figure it out? My Magic Trackpad gets really laggy. I have to plug in a USB mouse to gain back control of the system. I reset the PRAM and that didn't work. I disconnected it from bluetooth and reconnected it. That seemed to fix it 90% of the way. It still is slow to respond to my finger. I'm guessing that the lagginess is going to return soon.

Same here, I disconnected my MT and used a cable USB mouse, without any problem. Then I decided to upgrade to the Magic Trackpad 2, thinking it might be my MT being defective, only to find out the issue occurs just the same. The bizzarre thing is that it doesn't happen when I connect its lightning cable. The trackpad's battery is 93%, so it's not a low battery issue.

Also, Safari has being acting up since the new trackpad and the lag issues.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

Addendum: I noticed that there are 3 distinct modes:

1. Huge lag that happens randomly

2. Slight lag when cable is not connected (it's not a huge lag, but you can see the trackpad is not as responsive as it is with the lightning cable)

3. No lag and very responsive when lightning cable is connected
