Q: Error 7 (Windows error 193)

iTunes used to work fine.  Now when I try to open iTunes I receive this message: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please  reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193).  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, along with reboots. I had Windows 8, which has now automatically updated to Windows 8.1.  I even tried the Windows compatibility solutions (trying to run the program as if an older version of Windows was running).  Suggestions?  Thank you!
