"Is the apple 24 in cinema displays compatible with the new 5k 27in iMac?"
I recently purchased a new 5K iMac in which I would like to connect two of Apple's discontinued 24in Cinema Displays. As in my summery questions is this monitor compatible with Apple's' new 5K iMac? Hope someone with much more extensive knowledge than apple's support tech can help me.

Just one. Plug it into a Thunderbolt port and USB port on the computer.

Thank you for helping me figure out this dilemma. Your solution does not work ether in this case. Its a brand new computer less than two weeks old. I don't think its the iMac, Im hoping its not... I did read up that by just using the mini display plug into the thunderbolt on the back of the iMac that would do the job, just not the case here. 😟
