Macbook Pro early 2011 Won't charge

Hi everyone.

My Macbook Pro early 2011 suddenly wouldn't charge properly. The charger would just continuesly blink green while the computer had very little energy left. It has never happened before. When i disconnected the charger, the computer went dark, like it wasnt connected to the battery at all.

Plugged the charger back in, and got it working for a few minutes, however soon it was just blinking green again.

I tried multitiple times checking the charger court, but its quite new and in good condition.

It soon shut down again, but now I can't get it to start at all... btw, the charging indicator still works when it's plugged in.

I tried opening the lid, disconnecting the battery and the charge indicator but didnt help. If I plug in the charger without the battery though, the fan will slightly pulsate about 1 mm twice a sec.

I also tried an SMB reset, but didnt help...

Any clues of what might be going on?

Try a hard reset. Disconnect the battery (open the bottom and pull the connector off. Use your fingernails.) and power adapter. Press the power button for 1 minute. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes, Reconnect and try to start up.

No? - Go through the same procedure and try to start without the battery connected.

The addendum to this would be to try a known good battery.

This would be for a "no start" scenario but basically it's the SMC reset w/ a battery you can remove.

"soon it was just blinking green again."

Check MagSafe connector for dirt or debris.

To do further testing you'd need a known good power adapter or a fully charged battery.

Possible DC in board failure.
