Bluetooth headsets are choppy and cut out

I have 2 LG headsets, HBS-730 & HBS-760, both of them will cut out like crazy during bluetooth playback when going on a run. If i put my wrist with my watch behind my back the music cuts out completely until i bring it back around to the front of my body. This only occurs with bluetooth headsets. My iphone and Watch stair paired for up to 30 feet without issue.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I am experiencing nearly identical issues. I just purchased LG's Infinim (HBS-900) and have been disappointed to find that the music often turns off in the middle of playlist audio use. 😟

This error is repeatable and happens on a consistent, yet irregular basis. It seems to be related to my wrist movement (ie. raising my arm and inadvertently activating Watch).

Steps to recreate error:

- Watch loaded with playlist.

- LG Infinim earbuds, bluetooth pairing successful.

- Audio source selected = "Watch"

- Start playlist playback via Watch or "play" button on Infinim earbuds.

- Go about normal activity.

- Note audio playback randomly stops.

- Note Watch now shows in glances that music has been paused.

- Temporary workaround = select music to play again via Watch or "play" button on Infinim earbuds. Repeat as necessary each time music stops.

Not trying to make excuses for the watch. I understand that there are some features that are available and expected to work, however, the phones (i have an iphone 6+) occasionally experience bluetooth connectivity problems. I have 2 bluetooth headsets and a bose speaker, a keyboard, car media. They all, on occasion, have skip problems while connected to the phone. I find that when it happens, the quick fix is to restart the phone as it gets tired of thinking (much like a PC) and needs a reboot to start fresh and clutter-free. Now, take the watch, which is an accessory to the iphone. Realistically, these watches are not meant for anything else other than quick, easy access to basic features on the phone. And you introduce bluetooth connection +music playback +whatever the watch is trying to gage while on your wrist + trying to find its lifeline (aka your phone). Sure, Apple says the watch can do all these things, just like they say the iphone can do so many other things. However, the little thing is a marvel, but not without its limits. This problem falls quite in line with the problem the watch has with measuring proper calories and workout duration & distance. My suggestion is to not clutter the watch with music. The music's in your phone already and really, why leave the house without the phone? the watch is pretty useless without it, unless all ya need to to know time. Just remember the watch is pretty much a work in progress. A first generation gadget that although mighty, still needs a lot of tweaking and handling to realize its maximum potential. It took iPhone 5 years to get sorta there. Just give the little thing a break : ) If ya stretch the watch's rubber band so much it breaks, then it all just becomes a series of unfortunate events that will make the watch experience not as fun. And really, what good are any of these things if they're not fun? 🙂

I had this issue too. Super frustrating! Purchased the PowerBeats 2 to go running with the Apple Watch, leaving my phone at home. After two runs with a choppy connection, resulting in a distracted, disjointed running experience, I took it to Apple. They did a software reset to see if that would resolve the issue. It did not. Apple had told me that if it did not, they'd have to send it off to be looked at to their depo which would take 3-5 business days. Thankfully, because I'd purchased the watch less than two weeks prior, I was able to exchange it for a new watch, avoiding the wait. This seems to have corrected the issue *knocks on wood*. For what it's worth, the Apple technician I was dealing with told me he had seen the issue once before with a colleague of his, who sent his in and had the issue corrected. Good luck!
