2 computers 2 sets of music

OKay, I have an iMac and a MacBookPro. With the MBP all songs in iTunes will play, but when I move that folder to my iMac I get an error message that some songs can not be found. What have done wrong that they will play on the MBP but not the iMac. Do I need to move something else other than just the folder that contains the songs?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), 2.7 GHz iCore5, 8MB Ram

You probably need to consolidate your library first so all the files it needs are in the iTunes folder. Apple talks about it as part of reference: iTunes 12 for Mac: Change where your iTunes files are stored - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19507 - a good example post by CellarDwellr in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6789435
