May 11, 2015 11:33 AM in response to satluby bman6185,★HelpfulIt depends on what you consider "hot". If it burns you or is extremely hot to the touch, turn it off immediately and take it into an Apple Store. If its warm, but not uncomfortable to hold, check out this article for some insight: Keeping iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch within acceptable operating temperatures - Apple Support
If you're not getting a temperature warning, then I wouldn't stress about it, unless of course it burned you. If an Apple Store is convenient to you, I'd make an appointment and bring it in just to have the battery checked.
