Is there a shuffle option for music on the Apple Watch? I am wanting to shuffle songs on my playlist when I'm out running with just the watch.

Yes. On the "Now Playing" screen in Music app on the watch, force touch the screen, and the upper left button is shuffle.
That will only work if you have the phone with you. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to shuffle songs when you are running with the watch only. In other words the iPhone is not connect to the watch.

I just got mine, but this works just fine in WatchOS 2. Playlist on phone or watch, shuffle can be engaged.
The only way I know of is to hold down the crown to engage Siri and simply say "shuffle playlist." Quick and easy, works like a charm!
