Q: Where to find my Iphoto books and projects after libary transfer to Photos
After transferring my IPhoto Library to Photos, I returned to IPhoto and found my projects (books and slideshows) no longer appeared in the sidebar. I also discovered that they were not transferred to Photos. How can I "unhide" these IPhoto Projects, or otherwise get access to them again ?
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), Iphoto 9.6.1

Some projects have not been transferred to photos, probably because they will not work. Photos has different themes and cannot reproduce the books.
See this support document: How Photos handles content and metadata from iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support
- Some photo books and calendars, made with themes that are no longer supported in Photos, migrate to Albums.
So, if you cannot find your books, look for albums.
Your Slideshows however, should have been preserved:
- Slideshows are preserved in Photos. If a slideshow theme is not available in Photos, it uses the default Photos slideshow theme.
Finish your book projects in iPhoto. iPhoto and your old iPhoto Library will still work in MacOS X 10.10.3, but you need iPhoto version 9.6.1.
See this User Tip:
Get iPhoto 9.6.1 if you didn't update before OS... | Apple Support Communities
Check, if your Project section has been hidden. To the right of the section titles in the sidebar are hidden show/hide buttons: You will see them, if you hover the poster there.
