Podcast URL pointing to wrong podcast

My podcast url is not pointing to the right podcast. How can I correct it?

The URL is College and Career Class at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/heartland-baptist-fellowship/id848408677 but it is pointing to this podcast Passpoint at https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/heartland-baptist-fellowship/id980304962.

I recently moved my files to a new server and then used feedburner to move the feed but somehow College and Career Class got crossed with the Passpoing podcast.

How can I fix the problem with as little or no loss of subscribers?

The podcast URL:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/heartland-baptist-fellowship/id848408677?mt= 2

leads to this podcast:

User uploaded file

Which is using the feed at

http://www.hbfcass.org/media.rss?speaker=12

Though the feeds have different titles and images they both contain the same episodes.

If you want to correct one of them to another feed which is not currently being used, just copy the entire contents of the code of that feed into the feed in question and republish. It will take a few days for the Store to catch up. If you are unable to access the actual code you will have to copy in the episodes and decriptions.

This may be a fiddle but is likely to be easier than swapping over the actual feed URLs. I shouldn't try the 'itunes:new-feed-url' method because this could lead to problems in this case.

Roger, thank you for replying and identifying where my problem actually lies. I do want to change the first Podcast URL at https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/heartland-baptist-fellowship/id848408677?mt= 2 and have it use a new feed from http://feeds.feedburner.com/HeartlandBaptistFellowship-youngadultclass

I do not have access to the original rss feed and the hosting administrator has told me they have done all they can to help. I do have control of the feedburner feeds for both podcasts.

The problem is I am not sure what to do to change the feed from http:;/www.hbfcass.org/media.rss?speaker=12 to the correct feedburner feed. Do I simply re-submit the correct feed to the Itunes store?

Thank you!

As you don't have control of the original feed to enter the redirect code you will need to contact Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and ask them to change the Store to using the Feedburner feed. Give them the URL of the Store page and the URLs of both feeds.

I can't promise that they will do this but they have done for others in a similar situation. However if you are unable to get them to do this you will have to submit the Feedburner feed as an entirely new podcast. You may find that you get an automated response telling you that the podcast has already been submitted (this is a bug in the process) in which case you will have to change the title slightly.

You can then attempt to get the original, incorrect, Store page removed: I quote:

To request that your podcast be removed from the iTunes Store:

  1. Sign in to the iTunes Store using your Apple ID
  2. Find and select your podcast
  3. Click Report a Concern
  4. Choose Remove a Podcast from the Choose a Reason menu
  5. Provide details why you want the podcast removed.
