Q: Are you sure you want to remove existing music, movies, and TV shows from this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?

How do I keep previous music in apples sick system of constantly deleting my playlist with updates. iTunes on MacBook Air gives me no option to back up my iPod nano but says if I sync I will lose all data. Great now lets see if we can figure this out together. How to add my old music from an old iPod to my new iTunes library?
