Q: Update & Restore iPhone 4S

I have no sound on my iPhone 4S - at all

Last time (2 weeks ago) I went to iTunes & my sound returned after I plugged my iPhone into my desktop computer

This time - I am getting an a newer version of the iPhone software (version 8.3)

I only wanted sound!

iPhone update remaining time is 6 hours

Something is not right!!

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPhone. If you are still having sound or audio issues with your iPhone after the update completes, you may find the information and troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful:

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support
If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone - Apple Support
If your headset isn't working - Apple Support
