what happened to iPhoto
after my upgrade yesterday iPhoto has disappeared along with all my photos????? ðŸ˜
How do I get them back?
I have a photo app in its place which requires me to pay to store my photos!

You do not have to pay to store your photos on your computer.
I think the real question was, "What happened to iPhoto?"

Below are some support pages to get you started with PHOTOS and Apple Feedback.
Iphoto will be going away - from what I have read some of Photos is not finished in regard to emailing and sharing so that may be the only reason IPHOTO will run with Yosemite.
Apple software updates - what changed - and installation instructions seem to be lacking.
So you may want to give apple some feedback on it.

No it did not. iPhoto remains in your application folder even though it was deleted from the Dock when Photos was installed.
