Q: Login Keychains
I am having a problem with way too many pop up windows which tell me that Safari, or some other application, wants to use the Login keychain. Since I've changed from Lion to Yosemite, these pop windows have tripled in their occurrence. I have tried searching to find out just what login keychains are and have not found a good answer. I want nothing to do with automatic fill in user IDs and passwords if indeed this is what login keychains are about. To me, these windows that constantly ask me to use the login keychain are a total nuisance. I've found guidance in this community on how to disable login keychains but thought I'd ask before doing this just exactly what are login keychains and what benefits, if any, are there to login keychains.
Thanks.
