When I changed carriers and went from iphon5 to iphone6 - now imessage server remembers the temp number and not my original number so nobody gets my texts any more.

Here's what happened :

Changed from iphone5 to iphone6 and also changed carriers at the same time.

New carrier gave me a temp number and then they ported my original number over.

But Imessage server only remembers the temp number now and not my original number.

Nobody is getting my texts any more.

I have turned off imessage on my new iphone6 and other people with iphones get no messages at all from me any more.

How do I get imessage server to delete the temp number and revert to my original number which I have had for 10 years ?

This is really frustrating.

Thanks Daniele

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.1

Greetings Ciclismo Cycling,

It seems you are unable to use iMessage due to a conflict with an additional phone number. I have located support articles which may help you resolve this:

iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support

If the article above does not help, you may have deregister your temp number from iMessage:

Deregister iMessage: Frequently Asked Questions - Apple Support
