what are little white circles in some of my slider buttons?

can anyone tell me what the small white circles are on some of the slider buttons on my iphone?

AirPort Extreme 802.11n (5th Gen), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Can you please post a screenshot? To take one, press the Wake/Sleep and Home buttons. You should see a white flash.theimage will be inyourcamera roll.

They are likely the On/Off Labels for the slider buttons. You can toggle this feature under Settings>General>Accessibility>On/Off Labels. Toggle this setting on/off and the circle in the slider button will show/not show. It's purely a visual indicator & serves no other function.
