Q: setting up SMS messaging on mac book pro retina display

I purchased a new 13in. Mac Book Pro Retina Display in January 2015, and the Apple store copied all of my files from external hard drive to my new laptop for me. However, they failed to set-up the very handy SMS messaging option from my laptop vs having to rely on my cellphone. If anyone has had this problem or knows how to resolve it, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance!
