iPod Touch Not Connecting To iTunes On Macbook Computer.

The iPod is an older generation, but it still works. I want to reset it to factory settings, but it wont connect to my iTunes on the laptop. I would restart it from the iPod itself, but it gives me a notification saying "Your iPod touch could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting yout iPod touch to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes"

Please help. 😢

Try:

- Powering off and then back on your router.

- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server

- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

Public DNS — Google Developers

OpenDNS IP Addresses

- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem

- Try on another computer/network

- Wait if it is an Apple problem
