Turn off "Recently Deleted" album

When I delete photos from my iPhone 6+ I want them to be deleted, not sent to a "recently deleted" album.

How do I turn this "feature" off?

You can't. If you want them deleted before the 30 day threshold, then you can go into that folder and delete them again. Otherwise, you can wait, and they will be deleted from that folder in 30 days.

Be aware, however, that there is a current issue with that very folder, and although you cannot see the photos in the Album anymore, they may still be on the device. To check that, go to Settings>General>Date & Time, turn off Set Automatically, and change the date to 9/1/2014. Then go back to the Recently Deleted album to see if there are any photos showing. Delete those before going back to the Date/Time and setting it back to Set Automatically. A fellow poster - txforever - discovered this solution.

I can understand that, but FORCING people to save photos they actually want to delete is the wrong answer. On by default? Sure. But give us the option to turn it off. I never delete photos without first backing them up to my computer. Why do I have to jump through hoops because other people delete stuff without first backing up or being sure it's what they want to do? (sigh) Welcome to the modern world I guess, do things wrong you get a feature just for you! Do things right, you get penalized for it.

Don't forget the elevation of the victim culture, where the highest level of recognition many can achieve is in being "wronged" by someone, regardless of your own responsibility for whatever happened.

"I didn't understand how my phone works, I didn't backup my important pictures before messing with them, I selected them all and I deleted them without checking, it's all YOUR fault!"
