I bought Descent 3 (good space game, Google it) but its only for Windows XP + I want to run it on my Mac can I do this without expensive emulation or other programs? this is just the setup program so I assume the actual game is a different story as well? (I'm on a Hackintosh if it means anything)

You need to run Windows. The simplest way is to use VM software like Parallels Desktop or VirtualBox 4.3.26 (this is free.) You may also consider trying to use Boot Camp which is part of OS X. This lets you actually boot Windows on the computer instead of OS X.

Thank you, Boot Camp doesn't work on a Hack for some reason and I have Virtualbox but the Internet and USB don't work on Windows 7
Sorry, and to make matters worse we don't provide support for hackintoshes nor does Apple.
I have setup_descent3_2.0.0.16.exe and I want to run it on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 can I do this?
