iPhone/iPad serious App updating problems...

This is seriously frustrating & I'd like to know if anyone else experiences the same and/or has a fix...

iTunes will not update the Apps on my iPhone 6 or iPad Mini.
If I update the Apps in iTunes it will not transfer the updates to the devices.

If I update the Apps on the devices it will not transfer the updates to iTunes.

As a consequence I have to triple my data downloads by downloading the updates manually to my devices & then to my computer.

Just yesterday I had over 100 Apps, all of which are fully up-to-date on my devices, to update on my computer through iTunes.
Totally ridiculous.

This is all despite the fact that the devices are regularly backed-up to iTunes.

Running OS 10.10.3, iTunes 12.1.2. 27

Unfortunately - I believe I have the same problem - and no solution.
That is, I can transfer music, photos, and other files to iOS devices -
but iTunes 12.1 "locks" if I try to transfer Apps. I have done due
research - and tried solutions for similar problems - for example,
Deauthorizing and Authorizing my iMac - but no attempted
solution has made any difference. I'm hoping Apple will
identify the cause of this problem and provide a fix.
In the meantime, I'm updating and adding Apps to iOS
devices by WiFi (outside of iTunes). I'm also up-to-date - iOS 8.3, iTunes
12.1.2.27 and Yosemite 10.10.3. Very frustrating!!
