Compositing Problem w/ Motion 5 Lower Thirds in FCPX

I'm sharing ProRes4444 exports of a lower third name key. In FCPX the only composting that works is "Add" but it's too light.

What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean that the one that works if "Add"? There should be a lot of them - starting with "Normal"...

I had the Motion file for supers set up incorrectly. I found that you need to open a "Final Cut Title" if you want to do any keys. The only way I could get the "Motion Project" file to blend was with choosing "add" to drop out the black. This worked but the graphic was too transparent to be a lower third name key. I'm still doing a lot of file "sharing" - Exporting Movies of my graphic work (mainly lower thirds) to reimport into FCPX. Is there another way to do this?
