iPhone 6 water damage - volume button not working

Hello all,

I accidentally let the shower spray water on my phone for about 10 seconds (I was out of it haha) yesterday. I put it in rice overnight and hoped for the best.

Thankfully, everything works except the volume button. The volume up button works fine, but the volume down button doesn't work at all. Sometimes, the volume state screen pops up and the volume reaches the maximum when I didn't even press anything.

I don't know how to check the LCI indicator.

Any suggestions on what I should/could do?

Similiar issue however my phone spends very little time out of its lifeproof case.

Took it to the apple store and because we live in seattle the waterdamage dot was turned. The answer we will gladly sell you another phone forr 400 that cant handle seattle moisture. I have a samsung S4 and S5 which still work fine.

This is the 2nd phone for similiar issies. Extremely dusappointed in the products and services provided by apple.
