OS X will not allow connection to Internet on MacBook Pro. All other apple equipment and signal/router/ ect. Works fine. How do I get signal back on OS X?

Os X will not allow connection to wi fi.. All wi fi components signal/router/time capsule/ network preferences appear OK. wi fi works on other apple equipment -iPhone/iPad. How can I get signal in OS X On MacBook Pro?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), 15 " screen; late 2008 model

1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.


Start up in Safe Mode.

2. Deselect Proxies if selected.


System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab

Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.

Click "OK" then "Apply”.
