Sound issues with powerpoint using airplay from ipad

OK, scenario.

Created PowerPoint presentation on Macbook Pro. Has embedded video and sound.

Upload ppt to ipad.

Open up presentation on Ipad and it works flawlessly. (Sound, transitions, the whole presentation works)

Apple TV 3 and Ipad mini 3 are all using latest version of software as they are set to automatically update.

Decided to Stream it over Airplay to my Apple TV. (mirroring from Ipad)

Put slide show in presentation mode.

Slide show works, transitions and animation work.

The video works but there is no sound.

Tested sound after taking airplay out of mirrored mode.

I can see the video(from external airplay monitor) when I hit play on the Video from Ipad, but do not see the presentation slides. Though I do get sound this way.

When I mirror, basically, the presentation works and video works, but no sound goes through.

When I turn off mirroring, I do not get the powerpoint slides to show up on external device, but when I get to the Slide with the video, I can press play and the Video comes up with Sound on external device.

Does mirrored mode block sound from going from ppt to ext device? Is there a setting I am not configuring correctly?
